Iran Army drones, missiles arrayed around borders to fend off threats: commander
TEHRAN- According to the commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force, missile, drone, and artillery units have been stationed throughout the country’s northeastern border areas to provide a “rapid and timely” reaction to any potential danger.
On Monday, Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari stated that his troops are totally protecting the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
He remarked that the Iranian Army’s Ground Force is developing and implementing a strategy centered on regions where additional forces are required.
The Ground Force is analyzing the strategy in terms of missiles, drones, and border maneuvering forces in order to respond to threats in a forceful and decisive manner, he added.
The Iranian Army’s Air Force deputy commander stated that the force has strong defense capabilities and is prepared to take on any kind of danger, no matter how huge.
According to Brigadier General Mahdi Hadian, opponents of Iran’s military confrontation and hardware are feeling hopeless due to the nation's high degree of military readiness.
He attributed the Armed Forces’ greatest level of readiness to the victims’ sacrifices, the principles of the Islamic Revolution, and the leadership of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
He said that although adversaries are investing billions of dollars in hybrid and cognitive warfare to undermine the nation, their efforts have been in vain because of Ayatollah Khamenei’s leadership and the prudence of the Iranian people.
Brigadier General Hadian, referring to the capabilities of the Air Force to deal with threats, said, “Thanks to the blessings of the martyrs, the Islamic Revolution, and the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the armed forces are at the highest level of combat readiness.”
The deputy commander highlighted the enemies’ desperation in their futile efforts to engage in warfare, adding that the opponents are investing billions of dollars in combined and cognitive warfare to undermine the Islamic Republic. However, with the guidance of the Leader and the support of the people, the enemies' schemes have been thwarted.
In the end, he reiterated that the Army’s Air Force, which is at a high level of capability, is ready to respond to all kinds of threats.
Iran’s defensive capabilities need to be maintained and improved, according to Ayatollah Khamenei.
Ayatollah Khamenei praised the tremendous accomplishments and ongoing advancements of the Iranian Armed Forces during a meeting with the senior commanders and officials in April.
He asserted that the adversary is “vincible” in spite of its allegedly strong military might and calculations.
On Sunday, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi highlighted the imperative for the Pakistani government to take immediate measures in safeguarding its borders and preventing the establishment of terrorist havens within the country.
During his visit to the Rask police headquarters, Vahidi revealed that investigations unveiled the infiltration of the terrorist group into the Islamic Republic of Iran from the border with the neighboring country Pakistan.
He stated, “Taking advantage of the cover of night and regional geography, they reached the targeted police headquarters, executing their sinister objectives.”
Recent significant advancements in the production of a wide spectrum of domestically produced equipment by Iranian engineers and military professionals have rendered the country’s armed forces self-sufficient.
